Criteria : Redesign of a part of the existing city of Mit Okba
Main Shot
Mit Okba is a city in Giza Egypt that has been there since the 1800s and it was affected and changed many times till the present day , now it's aimed to do a redesign for the city to meet the new city standards and be functional to it's living community
Yarda 1 shot
Vision : Yarda aims to introduce the concept of green landscape and enhance the already used yards and spaces of the community with better lanscape and organization according to their needs and urges
Back of Hospital shot
There was a street of 14 meters on width existing Already used as a car park and neglecting it's function as for bas we created a amp insisted and for the street we used it as a Yad in front of the hospital and school to create a breathing space for both the hospital and school and to create an isolation area in the middle
Yada 2 : Extension of the yard shot
As there was an empty misused space of 800meters square next to the street we added containers and benches that could be used by the hospital or/and the school users (parents ) while they are waitron for their kids.
Rest of al Sawy Street, 3D shot
Instead of the stores that were passing their sale and taking up from the pavement space we designed of them closed glass vatrinas and added lights instead of the singes they used with a space for bicycle users too
Balcony 3D shot
Instead of the elevations that were mismatched and built with the ed picks we used the same material existing and created an environmentally friendly elevations with it that allows sun and air yet gives them the privacy they need
Yarda 3 : containers shot
Continuing the idea of the containers and they design with unused land , mainly was a land of throwing rubbish we turned it into an extension of the yarda as a container where they can get coffee and sandwiches
